A homemade taco seasoning inspired by Taco Bell’s original spice mix (and the only recipe with proper measurements).

    Ingredients

    • 4 tsp cilantro (dried)
    • 1 tbsp of onion powder OR 4 tbsp dried onion flakes
    • 4 tsp beef bouillon granules
    • 4 tsp garlic
    • 4 tsp paprika
    • 4 tsp chili powder
    • 1 tsp cayenne pepper

NOTE: I’ve found that onion flakes can become a little chewy, especially after the container has been open for a while. I highly recommend using onion powder instead.

HOW I USE THIS BLEND: I usually use this blend in my chicken oats or to help disguise the flavor of ground turkey for a family member with gout. It’s also become a bit of a party trick. People keep asking what I seasoned the ground beef with, and they’re always surprised when I tell them it’s actually turkey.
