Bound by the will of the Gryazin Trifecta, Ashaa enters the summer festival as one competitor among many, carrying an insatiable hunger for blood, flesh, and bone. As the festival unfolds, she is offered a rare chance at freedom, one that requires her to earn favor among the five outlying districts and the city that watches her every move.

When a devilishly handsome stranger crosses her path, long-buried desires begin to surface. As she is drawn deeper into his influence and the expectations of the crowd, it becomes harder to hold herself back.

In the end, Ashaa must decide whether freedom can be taken without losing who she is, or if becoming a monster is the only way to step beyond the cage built around her.
